Queen’s implements a new health education program in James Bay
Queen’s University plans to implement a new health education program in the James Bay region to increase the number of Indigenous health care professions.
on Feb. 28, the University announced a partnership with the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) and Mastercard Foundation to collaborate on providing a health care program focused on creating opportunities for Indigenous communities.
The partnership between the University and WAHA has existed since 1965 and will serve seven different Indigenous communities.
“This is a very exciting partnership we announced yesterday,” Jane Philpott, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences said in an interview with TheJournals.

SoE Ministry to blacklist cheaters in joint recruitment examination
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Minister of State-owned Enterprises (SOE) Erick Thohir was instructed to include into the permanent blacklist those found cheating in the joint state-owned enterprises’ recruitment examination.
Thohir emphasized that firm actions would be taken against those involved in all forms of cheating at the joint recruitment examination, as it runs counter to the core values of state-owned enterprises.
“I had been informed about some participants who cheated during their recruitment examination. This is unacceptable, and I press for firm actions to be taken against those who cheat and are detected by the ministry’s digital technology system,” Thohir noted…
